Renewable Fuels - The Business of Organic High-Yield BioFuels

Organic High-Yield BioFuels (OHYB) is a producer of renewable biofuels located in Atlanta, Georgia with a scalable and sustainable plan to expand throughout the southeastern United States and Africa.

Bio-fuels are a source of energy derived from biomass or oilseed that can be converted directly into fuel for use in vehicles and/or and any power system for which gasoline or diesel fuel are commonly used.

Presently, OHYB is focused on the production of biodiesel. Later, OHYB will introduce a broader range of renewable fuels including ethanol, methane and wood pellets. In some instances, such as methane, the fuel will be derived as a by-product of other activities including biodiesel processing, and anaerobic digestion in support of organic fertilized used for growing oilseed crops as feedstock for OHYB's sustainable biodiesel production strategy.

Biodiesel is a fuel derived from the bio-chemical 'transesterification' of common vegetable oil derived from oilseed crops such as soybeans, peanuts, canola, palm, jatropha. Current practice blends 100% biodiesel (B100) with varying percentages of petroleum diesel. Use of even a 2% blend of biodiesel (B2) will produce immediate emissions and mechanical benefits over straight petroleum diesel.

Why OHY Biodiesel?

Diesel is the energy of commerce and is a strategic resource for national and global transportation, shipping. However, manufacture of diesel fuel from vegetable oil is a relatively simple process and because its by-products may not be potentially abused as a source of alcohol consumption, such as when producing ethanol, it is also relatively lightly regulated.

Who are OHY's Customers?

There are four principal customers for OHY Biodiesel...

l        Existing Fuel Distributors

l        Government and the Military

l        Farmers and Local Schools and Private Fleets

l        Growing numbers of POV owners who elect to purchase diesel automobiles

Initially biodiesel will be produced for existing fuel oil distributors who are being mandated by school systems, state transportation agencies, municipal fleets, etc, to deliver blended petroleum diesel fuel that contains 2-30% vegetable diesel. Therefore, producers have only short hauls from production facilities to distributors holding tanks.

Farmers, school systems and local fleet operators in proximity to the OHY distribution network will benefit from direct purchase of B100, for self blending, or burning as straight fuel.

Later, as more personal automobiles are equipped with diesel engines, there will be a growth market for direct to consumer distribution of biodiesel such as is now being piloted in some markets by country singer Willie Nelson.

Because OHY is a minority-owned company, it will qualify for state, and Federal procurement programs and military contracts through prime contract suppliers who will be mandated to source from minority vendors.
